Information Technology, my God

I love Math and Science, I did well at school even though priority was mostly given to boys, I always competed with them. Funny, I always was on the same league as they were. I loved the fixing, making and analysing problems, I did well.

I finished my matric and life became real as most of my teachers always said, ‘life begins after matric’. I knew that I wanted to take a career path that involved fixing, making and creating stuff. IT came to my mind, little did I know that the field would be this broad. Mmmm, I am confused. There are a lot of stuff one can do in IT, interesting and fun. But, where does Keba go.

Had a very nice conversation with Jac’s friend, so Software engineering might be something one can take a look at. Then I heard of Multimedia and New Media engineering. You see what I am talking about, there is a lot that one can do in the field.

My mentor once told me that, I will struggle in finding a career path because of my Math and science background, I am starting to believe her. I registered with UNISA do study Public Relations Management, and then I found Communication Science very enabling. You see?

Atleast I know what I want to do now and in future; gaming for advocacy is the in thing for me at the moment. Like I said, I love the initiation part of thing, I love fixing, making and finding a balance and understanding in between. So IT isn’t that scary, it is also not for men only since I got to beat them at times at school.

Halala, IT watch this space…
